Congratulations AHC Teams in the 2021 Playoffs!

Congratulations to all AHC teams in their excellent performances throughout the playoffs!!!  While the Bantam AAAs, U12 Girls, and Mite AAAs all won their league championships this season, many other teams throughout the program had great playoff performances, including:

  • AHC's Peewee A team made it to their league's semifinal after defeating Andover 4-3 in the quarterfinal. In the semifinal Arlington lost a very close game to Melrose, 4-3, who went on to win the championship against Cape Ann (4-0).
  • AHC's Squirt AAA team finished as the league Runner-up in a hard fought game against Natick. Leading up to the game, the team had defeated the Wizards (2-0) and Parkway (8-4). In the championship game, they played without two key defensemen (who had been lost to quarantine due to exposure at school), and still managed to outshoot Natick in a game that saw four lead changes, with Arlington leading 7-5 in the third period. In the end, Natick battled back to get an open net goal for a final score of 9-7.
  • AHC's Mite AA2 team made it to their league semifinal game, losing to the eventual league champion, Framingham, in a very hard fought game that ended 3-1.
  • AHC's Mite A team had a great playoff run, beating Waltham 7-4 in the quarterfinals, Watertown 7-2 in the semifinals, and then losing a very close game to Dorchester 4-3 in the championship. Arlington was ahead 3-2 with five minutes left, but just came up a little short at the end to finish as the league Runner-up.

Finally, while it was a challenging year for all teams with the COVID pandemic, AHC's Peewee AA team put forth a strong effort despite most of the team being in quarantine. In spite of the exposure, the team called upon Peewee A and Squirt AA players to fill in and managed to play one playoff game, losing 7-3.

Congratulations again to all AHC teams in their playoff performances!! Have a great spring and summer, and we'll look forward to seeing you at the rink next season!
