Congratulations Kurt Beck!!

Congratulations to former AHC player, and current AHS Standout, Kurt Beck on being drafted in the USHL's Phase 1 draft for players born in 2009!!  Kurt, a defenseman, was taken in the 8th round by the Youngstown Phantoms.  He was the 119th pick of the draft and the 9th player selected from Massachusetts in the 236 player draft.  There were a total of 15 Massachusetts players selected in the Phase 1 draft.

The USHL is the only Tier I junior hockey league in the US.  Most NCAA Division I players play in the USHL before matriculating into their college programs.  The USHL will hold it's Phase 2 draft shortly for players born between 2008 and 2005.
