Spy Ponders make Ed Burns Coffee Pot Tourney Championship!!

The Ed Burns Coffee Pot Tournament held its semifinal games this weekend, with two very close match-ups!!  In the first semifinal game, Arlington beat Reading 2 - 1 in double overtime to punch their ticket to the Championship game!  The team was lead by (former AHC goaltender) John Snider in net, who kept AHS in the game during the first period, only giving up a single goal on a near breakaway rush.  Kurt Beck (former AHC player), tied the game at 1 - 1, which is how it ended in regulation.  During the overtime, former AHC player, Nolan Russell, scored the game winner during the second over time on a nifty wrap around goal!  In the second game, Belmont upset Hingham, 2 - 1 in a very close game, and will face Arlington in the Championship.

The Championship game will be Sunday, February 9, at the Tsongas Center----come out and cheer the team on to Victory!!

In related news, the Arlington High School JV team beat the Arlington Catholic JV team 2 - 1 in a morning game at Ed Burns Arena.
